Artist
Statement:
I have
been an artist since childhood. I’d like the opportunity to tell
explain more about my work. I do my work for pleasure foremost. I
must feel satisfied with my work, before I feel my work is done.
Sometimes I feel it is never done. Then I allow others to
experience the art for themselves. I have been told that the
experience is difficult to explain in words. My art is easier
expressed in feelings.
I use
different mediums in order to express these feeling. My hand cast
paper allows me to depict my inner self with the concepts of
space, color, light and design.
Some of
my paintings are in the pointillist technique. This allows me to
model my images using colorful dots in unlimited hues and shades.
My impressionistic style is often characterized by the use of
discontinuous brush strokes and heavy impasto.
I also
use the thick and thin technique like most painters. This allows
me to model the forms and shapes of faces and landscapes. I like
painting landscapes most because, nature can grow in many
different ways without set rules. This allows plenty of room for
my creativity.
My art
is transcendental for me. This word was tied to quality, purity of
inner vision and also indicates a sense of heightened impact, of
emotional, mental comprehension or both. This is different in each
person.
